<div style="line-height: 20px;">Senior Advisor to the Executive Director GABV<br><span style="font-size:13px;">Netherlands</span></div>
Tom Cummings is a founding adviser of the GABV. His role focuses on engaging annually with member CEOs to get insights for developing the activities of the GABV and he also manages the design of the annual meeting and serves as its key facilitator. Tom provides advice to the Executive Director on topics relating to the internal development of the network. In addition, he is the principal and founder of Leading Ventures where his work focuses on advising executive boards and senior management. Tom is also a creative partner, designer and process facilitator for strategic visioning, business performance and leadership development programs. He works both independently and in collaboration with faculty from leading business schools and consulting firms. His methods are client-centered and he draws on 25 years of experience with leaders and teams across a range of academic disciplines, industries and types of engagement. For many assignments, he uses a framework: ‘Leadership Landscapes’ described in a book authored with Dr. James Keen in 2008 (Palgrave Macmillan). Currently, Tom is a board member of the Tallberg Foundation, the International Bateson Institute, and a supervisory board member of B Lab Europe. Tom lectures on the Corporate Supervisory Board program at Nyenrode Business University and the Gordon Institute of Business (GIBS) at the University of Pretoria. Previously, Tom has held executive positions at Unilever, ABN Amro Bank and Shell International. He is also former co-director of the Cambridge Judge Business School executive development program on ‘Futures Thinking’. Tom completed a BA from University of Puget Sound (USA) and has done post-graduate studies at the University of London Imperial College in the UK and IMD in Switzerland. Additionally, he is certified to work with a number of diagnostics and methods and frequently attends and leads practice development workshops.
